Making a childhood insecurity to a security. Growing up in a mom & pop bakery, I hated it. I remember wishing my parents had a “normal” office job.
Whenever someone asked my what my parents did for a living I would say “my dad’s a chef.” My dad isn’t a chef, he is an immigrant who came to the US with nothing a build a business that employs countless of immigrants like him. As I grew older I become more admirable of my father.
Back to the tote bags.
These tote bags are made from sweet rice bags my dad would bring back from his store. One day, I decided to take the bags apart and make it into a tote bag. I filmed it, edited it, and went to bed. The rest is history..
